The Occult Spear is in a hidden chest behind bookcases in the Tower of Knowledge. On the floor containing Archivist Inha’s Journal II, turn toward the nearby shelves and jump over the book carts to their right. The space behind the shelves contains the weapon chest.
Get to the library search area
First unlock the tower with the three outdoor beacons and defeat the Skeletal Executioner near its entrance. Save at the monument that becomes accessible afterward. The spear is a library pickup rather than a reward from the tower’s final boss.
ShowGamer’s route explores the basement before reaching this section, then uses an elevator and a lever to return to the foyer. You can follow the basement loop if you want those throwing weapons and the clearly described return route. Do not confuse its elevator chest with the spear chest behind the shelves.
From the lower tower, climb back toward the open trapdoor. A small hallway on the left contains the book The End of Epha. Continue to the next floor and check the tables instead of immediately following the balcony upward.
Use Archivist Inha’s Journal II as the anchor
ShowGamer identifies the relevant floor by a Cultic Book Bug, ordinary Book Bugs and a small table holding Archivist Inha’s Journal II. Deal with nearby enemies before trying to jump between furniture. The journal is a navigation landmark here; you do not need to solve a dialogue or submit a book collection to open the spear chest.
Once you have found that table, turn away from the journal toward the nearby bookcase. Look to the right side of the shelves for book carts. Those carts mark the route into the concealed space.
Jump past the carts and inspect behind the shelves
Jump over the carts to reach the area behind the bookcase. Search there for the chest containing the Occult Spear. The walkthrough also lists Freshly Dried Herbs in the hidden space, but the chest is the pickup that matters for this route.
If you only see a normal balcony or another staircase, return to the journal table and recheck the right-hand side of the bookcase. The important change is moving behind the shelves, rather than continuing along their visible front. This is not the lever-operated secret room used for the Wind Rapier.
After collecting the spear, return to the library route. The nearby doorway leads onto a balcony overlooking the lobby. ShowGamer describes a gold-colored elevator platform and lever farther along that route, useful for returning to the first floor and preserving the pickup at the monument.
Equipment role and the next objective
Published weapon references classify the Occult Spear as a Pierce weapon. Use the in-game item description and the enemy’s properties to decide when to equip it; a hidden chest does not establish a universal damage ranking. This route does not claim an evolution recipe or specify an unverified charge threshold.
The spear is optional equipment. It does not unlock the Archives, replace the Storm Gem or solve the numbered-statue puzzle. Continue along the main tower route once you have finished the detour.

The journal, cart jump and chest sequence follow ShowGamer’s tower walkthrough. The tower location is cross-checked against GamerBlurb’s weapons guide. Reviewed November 5, 2026, from published references rather than a claimed hands-on run.
