The Wind Rapier chest is in a hidden Tower of Knowledge room opened by an exterior lever. After solving the numbered Gargoyle puzzle, use the window route to reach the lever on the broad left platform. Return to the entrance, take the stairs to the open trapdoor, jump across and check the left hallway.

First open the numbered-statue passage

The starting point is beyond the door marked by two crystals. Open it by lighting only Gargoyles III and VII on the outdoor balcony. This is separate from the island’s three beacons; use the numbered Gargoyle solution if this door is still sealed.

Climb through the opened passage into the hallway with Poltergeists and Pus Bags. Clear a safe route before studying the window. ShowGamer points to a skeleton against the southern wall as the clue for this exterior descent.

The weapon detour depends on the exterior switch, so simply returning to the lower library without visiting the window platform will leave the hidden room closed.

Drop to the broad left platform

Look outside before jumping. The published route distinguishes a broad platform on the left from a smaller ledge lower on the right. Take the larger left platform first and enter the adjoining space.

Pull the lever in the center. This is the action that opens the lower secret doorway. Optional supplies in this room are not substitutes for activating the switch; check the lever before continuing around the outside of the tower.

Use the platform’s edge to orient yourself for the next descent. ShowGamer’s route looks southeast toward the lower ledge, then uses an air dash to reach it. That ledge has an Orbewa Egg. From there, another dash toward the southern ledge returns you to the tower entrance.

Return by the stairs, not the elevator

Go back inside at the entrance and take the normal staircase. The elevator is convenient for the main ascent, but the rapier detour requires revisiting the open trapdoor on foot.

At the trapdoor that previously led to the basement, jump over the opening. Enter the hallway on the left and look for the doorway opened by the exterior lever. The treasure chest inside contains the Wind Rapier.

This return sequence is the most useful failure check. If you are riding directly to an upper floor, you may bypass the room. If the left hallway remains closed, recheck that you actually pulled the lever on the broad exterior platform rather than only visiting the smaller egg ledge.

Resume the tower without repeating the detour

After collecting the rapier, climb back toward the passage opened by the numbered Gargoyles. Continue upward instead of taking the window again. The tower walkthrough covers the later Storm Gem and Archives route.

The rapier is optional equipment, not an Archives key. Weapon references place it in the tower and classify it as Pierce/Slash, but this guide does not attach a universal ranking, an exact damage formula or an unsupported evolution requirement to the pickup. Check the current in-game description before changing your loadout.

For the other concealed library weapon, use the Occult Spear bookcase route. Its chest uses a furniture jump near a journal, not this exterior lever.
